Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). The father of the family is an engineer while her mother works as an agent. Walker has completed her studies at Germantown Friends School. Germantown Friends School (Germantown area) in Philadelphia and graduated in 1994. After that, in 1998, she earned her graduation in 1998 from Harvard College with a Bachelor's degree. Welker and John Hughes, a famous marketing director for Merck Philadelphia who is married to two children together. In 2014 they began having an affair. John, her husband is a year younger than her.
