
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her breakthrough role was in Miss Bala (2011), which was a Mexican crime drama film. The actress went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman was the main character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both of the series. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico as the daughter of a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. She is a citizen of the United States through her father. [2][3][4] Her father, the former baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She started her career in Mexican television before she made her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she portrayed the lead character of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. [6] The film was picked for consideration as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. it didn't make the final cut. 9.
