Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who was able to transcend over from country music to mainstream pop culture, becoming an iconic figure in the world of pop. The singer also swept the entire globe during the course of her journey. Swift let go of the influences from her country music like they were an extra layer of skin, revealing she was one of the best singers/songwriters of the generation she was born into. Swift could make the moment personal or harness the moment to benefit. These skills were evident on her early hits including the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless featured a singer-songwriter figuring out her true identity and in the process, finding an audience of mass. Fearless became a massive success and not just in the US and six of the singles were certified platinum on the back of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also performed well around the globe. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier popularity and launched the singer into superstardom. Her popularity only increased through her subsequent three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) as well as Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) and found her moving assuredly into the realm of pop where she already belonged. The popularity of her music grew after she altered her plan by releasing 2020's streamlined folklore (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
